Japanese knotweed
An invasive plant species that can cause structural damage to buildings. The Law Society's TA6 form requires sellers to disclose its presence on or near the property. Mortgage lenders usually require a specialist treatment plan and often decline. Specialist buyers exist who accept knotweed risk and price the treatment themselves.
