Chancel repair liability
A historical liability on some property titles to contribute to the repair of the local parish church. Chancel repair liability was historically recorded on HM Land Registry titles. After the Land Registration Act 2002, new titles are no longer registered with chancel liability, but historic titles can still carry it. Indemnity insurance is available.
